Hello everyone!
We're pretty stoked to announce that Blue Cola will be joining the label with a new single, so let's find out what she is all about.
Blue Cola is a 19 year-old alt pop singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. A sonic and visual chameleon, Blue Cola proudly flutters from acoustic to electropop, girl-next-door to technicolor drag clown, and gloomy songstress to… REALLY gloomy songstress. Blue’s mission is to create music for misfits. The cathartic artist’s lyrics draw upon personal experience with disability, mental illness, and trauma, in hopes that listeners will find solace in the fact they’re not alone.
So what more fitting than to release a single on Halloween? “Hate In My Heart”, a glitchy electronic lament, will be released October 31st, 2021, with an accompanying music video later this year.
In other news we are also working with a new band named Fish Zoo and features Strangeness In Proportion member Sean Cahalin on guitar duties.
Fish Zoo according to Sean "is pretty much a meme" but that hasn't stopped them from delivering a super catchy first single that will be titled "Laundry Room Threesome" and will also be featured on Fixed Frequency's new holiday compilation coming out shortly that also includes bands like Almost People, RumHam, Orphan Riot, Halloween Year and many more!
